Assistant HR Manager

The NHS in Sheffield are currently looking to appoint an Assistant HR Manager to support their resourcing function and also wider HR issues. This is an excellent job which offers excellent career development and is one of the largest trusts in the UK.

Your main area of responsibility will be delivering first class resourcing across the Trust. With an understanding of the local and national labour market you will ensure that the Trust are able to attract and retain staff. You will proactively ensure the provision of a high quality recruitment and selection service for directorates/departments within the Trust. This will include ensuring that the recruitment processes of the Trust comply with relevant statutory provisions and external standards set within the NHS, and that these are performed in line with key performance indicators.
It is essential that you are aware of all development across the recruitment field and are able to apply these where necessary. Particular initiatives will include the development of systems to support managers recruitment needs, supporting colleagues with the regional employability programme and establishing an electronic recruitment package.
You will also be involved in wider issues across the HR team therefore previous exposure to generalist HR issues is essential.


Applicants should ideally have:

Significant experience of providing advice and guidance to managers on recruitment and HR
Experience of developing systems and procedures and report writing
Experience of managing and supervising staff
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CIPD qualified or working towards
